Word From The Director 

 

The family ministries department of the Grenada Conference of Seventh-day Adventists  focuses on development and  relationships between husband and wives,  parents and  children, teenagers, single persons, single parents and other family oriented units within  the church and surrounding  communities.

The bible affirms the importance of the family and as such we as bible- believing -Christians need to pay keen attention to family life within the church as we present the gospel. A spirit of forgiveness and love should pervade the home and we should make an effort  to reach out to hurting members of various families instead of being judgmental and harsh.

Jesus reached out to broken families while he ministered on earth and found refuge in the home of singles(Mary Martha and Lazarus) telling us that he was not in the habit of ostracising any. It is noteworthy that Jesus worked one of his most outstanding miracles for a member of a single family, thus making the point that not only the married but singles also are important in his sight.

 

EGWhite in Adventist home page 32 states:

“One well-ordered, well-disciplined family tells more in behalf of Christianity than all the sermons that can be preached. Such a family gives evidence that the parents have been successful in following God's directions, and that their children will serve Him in the church. Their influence grows; for as they impart, they receive to impart again. The father and mother find helpers in their children, who give to others the instruction received in the home. The neighborhood in which they live is helped, for in it they have become enriched for time and for eternity. The whole family is engaged in the service of the Master; and by their godly example, others are inspired to be faithful and true to God in dealing with His flock, His beautiful flock.” 

May God continue to bless us as we include him daily in our Family life.
